| When the meteorologists in the Seattle area started talking about a Winter Storm Warning on Stevens Pass, it made contributors Dale Skyllingstad and Drew Mitchem and myself pack up and make the decision to venture out into the storm for the first snow shots of the season. The snow is falling at a rate of nearly 4-inches-per-hour as a priority UPS intermodal destined for Chicago, IL cruises downgrade along the Nason Creek and through Cascade Range conifer forest covered in a clean coating of fresh white snow. |
