No, the Lindbergh Engine isn't prepping for surgery, that's just masking in preparation for painting the cab signal equipment box. Nearing the end of its lengthy cosmetic restoration, E6s #460, famously dubbed the "Lindbergh Engine" because of its famous race to NYC with the newsreels of Charles Lindbergh's Distinguished Flying Cross award ceremony, is seen here with the last of the jacketing being installed inside the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania's restoration shop.
