    Remarks & Notes
Bringing the 1st cut of loads from the mine down the valley, The Beech Mountain Railroad's Alco S-2 "Old 113" eases across one of the Beech Mountain's infamous "Submarine" Bridges. Plagued by flood damages through the years, the railroad eventually built these 'bridges' to negate the issue.
