On the last day of 2015 we see Portland & Western 1852 which was built over 60 years ago on 06/1955, as SP 5438. The unit has been patched twice over the years, initially by the Willamette & Pacific which was bought out by Portland & Western. But the scarlet and gray paint revels it's true heritage, running on tracks formally owned by the Southern Pacific along side other examples of 1st generation diesel power in the Willamette valley.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
