Santa Fe’s 881 train cruises through Bucklin, Missouri, as a herd of cattle gathers on a nearby hillside studying the photographers perched there on May 20, 1989. They’ve seen trains before—you guys—not so much. The Los Angeles to Chicago intermodal train is powered by a pair of EMD SD45s sandwiching a pair of SD40-2s.
