| Demodara features a spiral constructed in 1921 to allow the railway to maintain an already gruelling 1:44 (2.3%) gradient on its mountainous "main line". Here a 2012-built Chinese DMU set hauled by MCG #936, with 929 pushing at the rear, has already passed under the station and, with the outer home semaphore signal in the clear position, will shortly enter the station behind the photographer. |
