Remarks & Notes

T59, with white "extra" class light lit, sits at Balsam while the conductor sets the retainers. The downgrade for the next several miles east is very steep, upwards of 5%. This Tuesday run consists only of three flats loaded with rail, destined for the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Dillsboro. T59 usually runs MWF.
