      Remarks & Notes
With Southern Pacific daylight red and orange up front UP's eastbound empty Trona 'coal buckets' have ducked into the siding at Jim Grey to meet BNSF's westbound Boron local, very fittingly utilizing trackage rights over the former Santa Fe between Mojave and Daggett, a line that was originally constructed by the Southern Pacific out to Needles, CA and sold to Santa Fe's predecessor (Atlantic & Pacific) in the 1890s. Obscuring the Boron's normal all second generation EMD power profile is the presence of rebuilt AC44C4M #616, BNSF 616 started life as Santa Fe C44-9W 616 but had recently been converted to AC traction with A-1-A trucks.
