| The daylight XPT service from Sydney to Melbourne grinds to a halt only a few minutes from the end of its journey, as it waits line clear at North Melbourne. The Standard Gauge only reached Melbourne in 1962 and was forced to take a fairly round-about way into the city, resulting in scenes like this which certainly don't look like a main line. |
