        Correctly stepping off trailing foot first -- opposite the direction of travel -- the brakeman of Rock Island 82 steps down to throw the switch at Sandown Junction east of Denver, February 14, 1967. In a few moments U25B 224 will enter Union Pacific’s Kansas City line for the journey east to Limon, where it will regain its own rails east to Chicago.
