Re 4/4 II # 11171 was pusher over the Gotthard north ramp on this heavy steel coils train, and is helping to brake the train with the electric brake down the Gotthard south side. From Giubiasco to Rivera-Bironico, up the Ceneri ramp, the locomotive will be pusher again. The locomotive is not remote controlled, but operated by a engineer, in radio contact with the leading driver when needed.
