| The advantage of CTC and two main tracks is exemplified in this photograph taken in Spanish Fork Canyon on Aug. 29, 1998. A CCOIP-29 coal train rolls down Soldier Summit on Main 1 while a high priority ZDVRO-29 UPS train overtakes it on Main 2. The Denver Rio Grande installed CTC here in 1975 and it has paid off handsomely. |
