| With its containers and trailers highlighting the Mojave Subdivisions precarious perch high above Tehachapi Creek, an eastbound BNSF Z train works up the western slope at Cliff. Nestled down in the valley below is Caliente, 6 rail miles and some 700' separate the west end of Cliff from Caliente, only 1 mile as the crow flies. |
