| Northbound freight of Renfe Mercancías (Renfe Cargo) on the Pajares pass line in the valley of the Bernesga river near Villanueva de la Tercia. Pulling is heavy sixaxle "Mitsubishi" E 251 # 017 with 4650 kW, built by MACOSA in 1983 after a design of Mitsubishi/Japan, the "classic" powerful Pajares pass locomotive. The load of the train is probably scrap metal for the ArcelorMittal Asturias work in Avilés near Gijon. |
