| A "Japanese" 251 # 007 with a steel coils train is running southwards through the valley of the Bernesga river near Villamanín de la Tercia. In the background lies the village of Villanueva de la Tercia and the Pajares pass over the cantabrian mountain range. The 30 sixaxle 251 series with 4650 kW were built after a design of Mitsubishi from 1982 to 1984, espescially for such mountain lines like the Pajares and are all in service on this line (28 still operational). |
