OVER/UNDER FEATURING THE "QUEEN OF STEAM"!
A few lucky photographers got the opportunity to catch a very special moment while photographing the N&W 611. While waiting for the "J" to make an appearance, radio traffic indicated that we would be having an eastbound loaded coal train up on the old Virginian line that crosses over the Christiansburg District. Sure enough, the train showed up and rolls overtop on the truss bridge. Luckily the train was long enough to capture an over/under photo featuring the Norfolk & Western 611 pulling her train westbound and putting on a fine show for the few of us to remember for a lifetime!
