| Seen from the former Western Maryland Salisbury viaduct, the Chessie Safety Express rolls east down the Sand Patch grade near Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. The open farmland has given way to “progress”, and the corn field on the left is now part of a highway right of way as seen in this 2007 photo by Paul Duda. |
