| The 2-10-0 freight steamlocomotive C 5/6 # 2978 "Elephant" started the tackling of the 2.6 % Gotthard north ramp shortly in Erstfeld, with a load of about 220 ton. The train circulated from Erstfeld to Biasca and back for the "Schweiz Aktuell" programm of Swiss TV. The locomotive dates from 1917, the cars from the 1930'. |
