With a steady 30 km/h, the 2-10-0 steamlocomotive C 5/6 # 2978 "Elephant" is pulling the 210 ton passenger train up the 2.6 % grade of the Gotthard north ramp, between Pfaffensprung and Wassen. In the background the houses and church of Gurtnellen village and B?lmeten and Rinderstock mountains, which are 15 kilometer from here.
