Remarks & Notes

The western slope of the Rocky Mountains consists of tough, rugged terrain. Winding through this region is the UP Moffat Tunnel Subdivision. Trains traveling west out o Denver travel through this incredible country, including the Amtrak California Zephyr. Here, Amtrak #5 rolls through Little Gore Canyon near Azure, Colorado.
