    Remarks & Notes
    Remnants of the Central Vermont

After waiting for Amtrak Vermonter #55 to pass, New England Central train #600, a local (Bethel VT to White River Junction VT), has a single empty covered hopper in tow as it departs South Royalton, Vermont, on September 13, 2016. Forty-seven-year-old NECR GP38 3845 (ex-NECR 9521, ex-IC 9521, ex-ICG 9521, ex-GMO 702) has absolutely no problem handling this train as it passes the old Central Vermont passenger station to its right, and the old CV freight house on its left.
