    Remarks & Notes
Trains NE84 and NE87 were a cooperative effort of the Delaware & Hudson, Lehigh Valley, Reading and Baltimore & Ohio to move freight between Rouses Point, New York and Potomac Yard in Alexandria, Virginia. D&H and LV power ran through between Rouses Point and Allentown, while Reading and B&O power ran through between Allentown and Pot Yard, After the formation of Conrail, the D&H retained the symbols, but was solely responsible for running the train over the entire route. From Philadelphia south, the routing shifted from the B&O to the Northeast Corridor, where the D&H now had trackage rights to Pot Yard. Here NE87 rolls past the newly-restored CNJ station at Siegfried, Pennsylvania, along the former CNJ/LV.
