Remarks & Notes

In a classic New England scene Boston & Maine F7 #4266 rolls through the farmland in North Conway New Hampshire just as it did in the 1950s when passenger service between Boston and North Conway was active. Today the track is run by the Conway Scenic Railroad. The locomotive is owned by the 470 Railroad Club of Portland and is leased to Conway Scenic. Today it is on the East end of the 470 club's annual charter. The train will proceed to Conway before returning back to North Conway where the 4266 will be dropped and the Conway Scenic's GP38 and GP35 will take the train West through Crawford Notch to Fabyan Station. The two Conway Scenic engines can be seen trailing the nine coach train in this image.
