An eastbound Canadian National coal train eases downgrade between Mercoal and Coalspur, Alberta, toward the junction of the Foothills Subdivision at Parkhill Junction on August 8, 2016. This train is the third and final section of a coal train loaded at Teck’s Cardinal River Operation near Cadomin. The 50-car train is set up 1+1, with GE ES44AC No. 2900 on the lead, with sister ES44AC No. 2958 set up as a rear DPU, and will combine with the other two sections at Bickerdike (near Edson).
