Union Pacific steam 4-6-6-4 'Challenger' No. 3985 leads a seven car passenger special through Lake Point on an extraordinarily smoky August 2, 2000 afternoon. The train was traveling from Cheyenne, Wyoming to the Democratic National Convention held in Los Angeles, California.
