As G485 and its 87 car loads begin to slowly crawl out of the siding at Calera, they're about to pass behind a nearly 3 year old Vader hood signal. This newer piece of equipment replaced an iconic looking General Railway Signal searchlight that had been controlling NS train movements across this CSX line for over 39 years and was a centerpiece of the area.
