Remarks & Notes

Fresh from rebuilding at Peaker Services in Brighton, Michigan, this 1981 image at Milwaukee Junction shows SEMTA GP19 904 just prior to being placed into commuter service between Detroit and Pontiac. Originally built as GTW 4952 (GP18) in March of 1960, (hence the Peaker Services designation of GP19) the rebuild downrated this unit to GP9/GP10 status.
