With word coming out that the Piedmont & Northern will no longer be keeping this iconic pair of F Class Engines, I am certainly glad to have photographed them. Word is they will be moved to Mississippi because the P&N does not have the ability to do what is needed to get them up and running. Norfolk Southern will run an inspection on the engines and once they clear, should leave North Carolina soon after.
