Tattered classics at Dow City
Passing through Dow City, Iowa, on May 7, 1995 is a westbound Chicago Central & Pacific freight heading for Council Bluffs. The train is powered by former ICG GP10 No. 1775 and former Milwaukee Road GP20 No. 970, both rebuilt GP9s—and both looking a bit tattered like the the 1955 Chevy—but they’re still running!
