NS Train I39 comes across the UP diamond on the NS Kansas City District-BNSF Brookfield Sub. at Birmingham past the searchlight signals living on borrowed time. Signal contractor RCL was on site at the time installing their replacements.
This train is a 2nd section of NS 239, which takes autoracks to UP Armourdale Yard in KCK. The signals, power, and code line here certainly evoke an image of the previous couple decades.
