      Remarks & Notes
The engineer of the American Freedom Train looks back for hand signals as he switches the train for display in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The 4-8-4 is near JU tower, and the train is being spotted adjacent to the former Jersey Central station. In a little under a month, the Northern will hand the train back to former SP 4449, which, along with former Texas & Pacific 2-10-4 610, has handled the American Freedom Train outside of the northeast United States. A few months after this, the Reading 4-8-4 will return to the Bethlehem area, going to the former Reading Saucon Creek roundhouse in Hellertown. After a light overhaul and a new paint job, the Northern will return to the main line in April, as Chessie Steam Special 2101.
