| On a early Sunday morning the small river community of Massey was awaken to a 26 car derailment. This northbound empty CP sand train derailed close to track speed. Few of the people near the tracks got a close up view of the derailment as the cars ended up close to their places. Lucky for CP it was all empties and there were no injuries. Massey is located about 5 miles south of Dubuque along the Mississippi River. My guess, and only a guess, would be a broken rail for cause? |
