A windmill train rounding the bay. Three ex-CP RS-18's (two recently repainted into an SP Black Widow-inspired paint scheme) lead a train consisting of 72 flat cars holding 48 windmill blades (as well as 1 loaded woodchip car up front), as it rounds the Baie des Chaleurs, headed for Matapedia and interchange with the CN. These windmill blades are destined for Texas and represent a new business for the Société du chemin de fer de la Gaspésie, which runs this scenic ex-CN line. About 15 railfans chased this train, with quite a number of American railfans visible at right, just behind the power.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
