After bringing in three loads from Cody, BNSF’s Cody local switches at Frannie, Wyoming, on June 24, 2016. The local is powered by two former Burlington Northern EMD SD70MACs, Nos. 9621 and 9709, recently demoted from the usual coal service these machines were built for. Frannie is the local’s connection to the BNSF’s Casper Subdivision main line—and sitting on the main is this day’s train back to Cody—empty ATSF hopper No. 85869 and BN caboose No. 12540.
