A westbound BNSF freight sprints across the Clark Fork bridge between Noxon and Heron, Montana, on May 4, 2012. Behind the road power is an uncommon rebuilt EMD SD9. It began life as a SD9 built for CB&Q in 1954, renumbered 6135 as a BN locomotive, and is now SD9-3 No. 1551 and equipped for remote control on BNSF.
