| For the past 40 miles these 2 trains have been side by side running west as the auto train over takes this empty coal train. Light eastbound traffic allowed for the dispatcher to run west on both tracks for over 60 miles. This coal train is sporting some of the latest new UP power in the form of an EMD SD70ACe-T4. 3 of them are in a 2x1 DP setup as this roll this empty westbound towards Black Thunder Mine, WY. Here the train is about to pass under highway 30 on the west side of Cedar Rapids. |
