Remarks & Notes

An eastbound grain train is seen here crossing the Iowa River in Iowa Falls. The train is working between Fort Dodge and Waterloo on this fine morning, and is 50 miles from Waterloo. In 1998 IC was the owner of the Iowa Division, taken back from the CCP not many years before. SD40's were common power for this era before CN took over the IC.
