Union Pacific EMD SD70ACe No. 1989, the Rio Grande heritage locomotive, leads a UP Operation Lifesaver special at De Beque, Colorado, on June 15, 2009. Behind No. 1989 is UP E9B No. 963B, and on the other end of the four-car special is GE AC4400CW No. 7250 used as lead locomotive on westbound trips back to Grand Junction.
