    Remarks & Notes
"Straight out of 1944." In a scene that may have taken place during the years World War II was ragging, Santa Fe Railway Conductor Steve Phares helps a pair of passengers locate the correct departure time of their train as a pair of military personnel look on while Santa Fe's first Northern - Santa Fe 3751 - cracks its cylinder cocks as it departs Fullerton, Calif. for its final destination of Los Angeles, Calif. In reality, this scene was created as part of the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society's (SBRHS) second annual night photography session offered to 25 lucky individuals. With 3751's Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) mandated 1,472-day inspection fast approaching...the crew of the SBRHS went all out to make this the best photography session yet with a plentiful amount of reenactors in railroad, civilian and military attire...and even an original 1944, WWII Jeep.

Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
