Remarks & Notes
The World Famous Horseshoe Curve Grain train 50T wraps around the valley on the Horseshoe Curve. Built by the Pennsylvania Railroad and opened to traffic in 1854, Horseshoe Curve fills in two ravines of Kittanning Gap, itself once a major route for settlers moving west by foot, ox, mule, and wagon as one of the appropriated portions of the Kittanning Path.
