Remarks & Notes

Amtrak's Phase I anniversary unit leads the Westbound Capitol Limited through West Newton, PA. The station, built in 1893, was never a stop on the Capitol Limited, but was used in commuter service to Pittsburgh. Strangely enough, the westbound Capitol Limited still passes through the town at roughly the same time as scheduled by the B&O in 1941.
