A westbound Santa Fe freight sits in the siding at Hinkley, California, to meet two eastbound trains on the afternoon of March 6, 1995. The train is led by Super Fleet GE C40-8W No. 863 still looking pretty good in its classy warbonnet colors. Hinkley is located in the Mojave Desert between Barstow and Mojave.
