Steam at Sandaoling open cast coal mine in China with three JS Class locos in action. The train in the far background by the loader is taking on coal, meanwhile the train in the foreground is pushing back to the loading bay with a rake of empty coal wagons, whilst another train loaded with coal makes haste in the opposite direction to the wash plant. On a bust day, one could see coal trains every 20 minutes or so.
