The San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society held a very unusual event on the evening of July 15, 2017. After the locomotive was displayed all day at the Union Station Summer Train Fest, she was moved from LAUPT to the Amtrak turntable at Redondo Jct. It was to be the last night photo shoot with the ATSF 3751 before she undergoes her 1472 inspection. The other unusual aspect of this event is that was held at the Redondo Amtrak facility on their historic Santa Fe steam era turntable! This opportunity has never been made available before and may be a long while before it is possible to have it happen again. The re-certification process necessary to continue to operate the steam locomotive could take up to two or more years. For more information on the progress of this effort, please visit the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Societies web page at sbrhs.org. Steve Crise?2017 (SJC_3751_0142943C)
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
