Remarks & Notes

Amtrak 289 leads train #8, The Empire Builder, out of Milwaukee, WI in November of 1987. The old Milwaukee Solvay Coke facility is behind the train and the last remnants of the CNW mainline between Madison and Milwaukee are on the far left. The train is on the Soo Line (ex-MILW) C&M subdivision.
