Remarks & Notes

The night train from Detroit is ending its run in Mackinaw City behind a Lima Mohawk. As you can tell by the cars visible in the photo, train 207 carried a large amount of Mail and Express to the cities and towns along its route. Although not visible in this view it offered both coach and Pullman accommodations. It carried no dining car. Breakfast was available at the Mackinaw City Depot Restaurant operated by the Kenville family. Passengers desiring to continue to the Upper Peninsula, after eating, could board the waiting coaches of Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Train No. 1 which would be carried to St. Ignace by the rail ferry CHIEF WAWATAM.
