| In the shining September sun, Midwest Central's oldest locomotive winds its way around the showgrounds of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion. Originally built for Virginia's Surrey, Sussex & Southampton Railway in 1891, the locomotive received Southern valve gear before being sold to the famed Argent Lumber Company of South Carolina. The venerable Mogul came to Mount Pleasant in 1960 and has been rebuilt twice. |
