        Remarks & Notes
It is an August evening in 1946. DSS&A Train No. 2 has arrived in St. Ignace. It is about to board the rail ferry CHIEF WAWATAM and be taken across the Straits of Mackinac to Mackinaw City where it will transfer passengers, mail and Express to NYC 202 which will then head toward Detroit. These cars will remain overnight in Mackinaw City until the arrival of NYC 207 the following morning. They will then return aboard the CHIEF WAWATAM as DSS&A No. 1 that will will head west to Marquette and Calumet.
