| The slickrock environment of the Kane Creek Subdivision means that washouts and sand dunes are a regular occurrence. Due to flash floods a few weeks previous, the Potash Local was under a slow order for the majority of its trip through the canyon as new track over the washouts had not yet been ballasted. |
