A Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad train pauses briefly next to the siding at Big Horn, New Mexico, in August 1979. Bringing up the rear of the train is caboose No. 05635. This car was a former Rio Grande stock car that in 1976, C&TS rebuilt into the caboose seen in this view. It was completely rebuilt by the railroad in 2004 and now more closely resembles a typical Rio Grande narrow gauge caboose.
